"Dear Family" message

Dear potential family My name is Rebecca D and I matriculated from Collegiate Girl's High school in 2018 after attending the school for 13 years. I have completed my undergrad in psychology at NMU and I have just completed my Honours in Psychology (2023). I will be taking a Gap year in 2024 before I complete my masters in Psychology. I am very passionate about children and have good people skills.

Why I would make the perfect au pair

I absolutely adore children and I have always had a need to be near children. I have au paired since 2019 and have worked with at least 6 families since then. I have experience in working with ages from 2 years old all the way to 18. I have experience in all au pairing responsibilities ranging from only dropping off children at school to completing grocery shopping trips/cooking for children and taking them to to doctor appointments etc. I often like to go the extra mile and take the kids out for coffee or fun outings! I matriculated with 2 distinctions as well as a 78% for science and a 77% for biology, as a result of this I will be the ideal aupair to have, not only because I can drive but because I will be perfectly happy to help your children with any homework they might have. In high school I played both netball and waterpolo at a first team level since grade 10, I have also represented the province for waterpolo since I was 12, because of this, I can also help with any extra lessons regarding these two sports. I grew up with 2 sisters, so I am very familiar with taking care of a younger sibling. I also have a mom who has been a teacher for over 20 years so I have always been surrounded by younger children. I completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees cum laude. I'm very keen to help out children in any way possible, as they hold a very special place in my heart!

Hobbies and other interests

I enjoy reading and being outdoors. I am an avid runner and also do crossfit! I value being fit and one of my priorities is to be healthy and use the next year (2025) to be in nature as much as I can!
