Introduction to families
I am a student at varsity College as well as I am very friendly, always wanting to meet new people, I love to talk and laugh. I am always willing to work hard towards my goals and for what is expected of me. I am a very hard working person and a go-getter and very determined. I am respectful and caring to the people around me and I love being busy. I love children who are younger than 10 Years of age as they need a lot of attention and keep me on my toes. I have so much love to share, and I am a very gentle and nurturing person. I am also someone who loves to have fun and get down on to the same level as your child.
I would make the perfect au pair because I love children and I want to make a difference in their lives'. I am someone who will go the extra mile for a child and I love playing with children and making them laugh. I understand parents are to busy now a days to do everything, so I am here to provide my skills, knowledge and services. I am experience in Infants and children ages 3-10 years. I adore Infants, they need a lot of care and nurturing, I am perfect for infants as I have the kind, caring and gentle heart for them, I am not scared of cuddling the babies, putting them to sleep, singing to them and just holding them and feeding them, nappy changes and so on. I have done a lot of voluntary work for my home church, where my focus was on the children from the ages of 3-14 years. I did a variety of different things with them such colouring in, dancing, giving them advice, playing games, teaching them dance moves as well as doing crafts with them. On a more serious note I have experience with children who have learning disabilities. I have helped children from the age of 3-10 with English, teaching them how to spell, making sure the pencil grip is correct, teaching them how to read fluently, write and pronounce words. Sometimes a child will need work to be reinforced as the children have learning disabilities. With this job it takes a lot of patience and determination and constant support from the teacher/ in my case the tutor or au pair. I am someone who also can clean your house for you, and make sure things are all organised and ready for when you get home.
I am someone who loves art such as colouring in,mosaic, painting and drawing. I love watching rugby and I loved playing hockey and netball in school.I love listening to music and in my free time I love to bake and try out different recipes.I love organising things and tidying things up, I am not scared of a bit of house work either.

I started off being trained for tutoring children with learning disabilities, and as time went by I was then being trained to be a personal assistant. As a tutor I tested the child on the work we did the following week, I would check if the homework I gave was completed, if the child was struggle I would then do reinforcement with that child. I would then move on to new work once the child understood their work previously. Teaching them from their Development Skills book and their writing book. Tasks as a personal assistant is to make sure that everything is open and organised and ready for the tutors when they arrive, they can just go sit and start with their child immediately, to make sure children are settled down with their tutors and that the tutors are working with the children, when tutors need a break I go and fill in for them. When I fill in for them the tutors would then give me work to teach the child or carry on with the tests.

Makes sure the children are doing what they should be doing, keeping them quite, helping them with crafts and colouring activities in as well as keeping them entertained. Guiding children from one station to the next, explaining and helping the children with the crafts and activities put out for them each day of the week, dancing and teaching them the actions to the songs, explaining and playing games with them, I made sure they were quite when it was story time. The same as previous holiday clubs, as well as the registering of the children and doing name tags for them this year.
