Introduction to families
Ever since I was a child, I had a huge love for children and being around them and just plain and simply enjoying their company. I grew up in a loving home with divorced parents, i lived with my mother for years, however, my mother and eldest brother were always very supportive towards me, I have never used their divorce as an excuse for not having a normal childhood as society would portray it to be, i rather used it as ammunition to do better in life and become a person that only radiates light. I have known struggle, at 25 i was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer, stage 2 but i have also know relief and happiness as i have been in remission for a year now. I have a pending diploma for ECD (Early childhood development) Level 6, the government is always changing documents needed, thus the reason for it still pending. To me being an au pair is not just a job,it’s a lifestyle as you are looking after another families whole entire world and to be responsible for the child.
I have au paired and taught various aged children, one of the most challenging but rewarding jobs i have ever experienced is working with a down syndrome as well as autistic child, they are so special and we can all learn so much from them, these jobs, as short as they were taught me alot about patience as well as a love for those less fortunate health wise as i am and this makes me want to care for them more.I have worked with gifted children as well, I absolutely loved every moment, being 8 and 10 their IQ’s were so high i was also able to learn from them. Their emotional intelligence was not where it had to be but I was able to comprehend their every feeling.
I am a very social and active person, i like to go on hikes with friends etc
