We have accommodation available but would prefer someone with their own family and friends and accommodation.
You need to be creative and love what you do. Being an au pair is an important vocation and I need to know that you chose this career because you make a difference in childrens life. I need someone who will stimulate the kids (the weeks planning and menu normally discussed on Wednesdays). Make them lunch, tidy the house and be me when I am at work. Our kids are curious (like all kids :) and enjoy being taught/told about how things work. My husband and I are both engineers and expect the daily stimulation to be educational. We don't allow TV or cellphones (while working with the kids). Healthy eating is very important for us. We have two dogs, you'll be responsible to ensure they always have water (our toddler likes to empty the bowls) and ensure the areas where the kids play are free from doggy litter (teach the kids to do this). I like the Montessori approach, and experience in that regard would be advantageous.
