Actually, we offer free accommodation (bedroom in a house in Camps Bay with private entry) in exchange for 6 hours of tutoring per week (1.5 hour from Monday through Thursday after school). Extra hours will be paid at 200 R / hour. When both parents are away (3-4 times/year max), we would expect the 'au pair' to drop off and pick up Clement at school in Hout Bay and to look after him in the evening.
We are a French family with a 15-year old boy, Clement, and have been living in Cape Town for 4 years. Actually, we are looking more for a tutor than an 'au pair'. Someone who could help our son with his home work daily from Monday to Thursday (and more when needed) for 1.5 hour between 4 pm and 7 pm. Clement has ADHD and therefore has difficulty to focus on the task and work on his own, so we need someone with strong teaching skills who can teach him how to work, get organized and structured, give him some work to do on his own, etc. He will be in IGCSE 1 next year. We look forward to meeting with the student who is interested. We provide free accommodation, in a nice environment (200 meters to the beach), in exchange for 6 hours of tutoring / week. Clement likes to surf and would love to share some surfing time with his/her tutor when the work is done.
